How I showed that just because something’s inexpensive, doesn’t mean it has to look cheap.
Yes Beverages’ slogan, “yes you can”, embodies the brand ethos. The start-up capitalises on an ever-expanding and profitable low LSM market in townships and spaza shops. The company wants to create beverages at affordable prices that are visually more appealing than the competitors.
The purpose of this project was to show that design for a low LSM market needn’t look cheap and nasty. Simplicity and vibrant colour are key elements to the success of a brand in rural Africa so I came up with an uncluttered design. I also utilised vibrant colours and bold typeface to ensure it stands out from competitors and appeals to the target market.
